Now a brand new epic series by Ana Fischel has come to the forefront of the Book Collecting World! The Twelve Quests is a series of children's fairy tale books that revive the darkly Gothic atmosphere of the 19th century and reignite the richness of European folklore. This series of modern classics tell the woeful tale of ten year old twins, Albert and Florence Leadington, who are forced to embark on an extraordinary trip to complete twelve devious and deadly quests.
Their epic journey begins in 1849 and times were as bad as bad could be for most people, indeed Victorian London was certainly not a pleasant place if you were poor but even worse if you had the misfortune to be stuck in Mrs. Snagglesnarle's orphanage, which was exactly where Albert and Florrie found themselves. However, one fateful day the strange and hapless Mr. Arthur Canarthy turns up and informs them that their parents are in fact alive but cursed.
Doodled Books has secured all the exclusive rare books for our collectors. The publisher You Write On was so impressed with the series the first six books were published straight away.
Yes this 12 book series will have you gripped from page 1. And the whole concept could be a huge as The Highfield Mole, Harry Potter, Alex Rider all rolled into one.
Now you can collect an ultra rare manuscript of Bluebeard's Key. This manuscript is signed, illustrated, lined, dated and embossed with the "Official Fischel Family Wax Seal".
About Book 1
It was 1849 and times were as hard as nails for most people in Victorian London. It was fine and dandy if you were rich and could afford to eat until your belly was full but it was quite another matter if you were poor and even worse if you had the misfortune to be living in Mrs. Snagglesnarle's dreadful orphanage which was exactly where ten year old twins Albert and Florence Leadington happened to find themselves.
However when Mr. Arthur Canarthy turns up one day and informs them their parents are actually still alive but have been cursed by a vindictive sorceress by the name of Madame Divitan, they quickly realise that their lives are never going to be the same again.
The children are forced to make a deal with the witch - to complete twelve devious and twisted quests - if they are ever to be reunited with their family again. Reluctantly Arthur Canarthy assumes the role of their guardian after discovering the first quest involves them obtaining a mysterious key from a notorious and blood thirsty Parisian aristocrat known locally as Bluebeard.
Together they seek out help from a roguish smuggler called Ebenezer Smythe and set sail for France unaware of the dreadful dangers that are awaiting them...
'A gutsy take on traditional folklore offering a really cinematic read - the literary equivalent of a 'must see' film!'
