SOLD MID-RANGE DRAFT OF THE FOUR CORNERS OF CIVILIZATION MAP BY PATRICK ROTHFUSS - SPRING 2003

This listing is for an ultra rare A4 mid range map draft and a colour A3 promotional map from the award winning book 'The Name of the Wind'. The maps have come directly from the authors very own personal collection.

Each map is signed and dated by Patrick Rothfuss and the artist. See pictures for more details.

Infact the mid range draft has a letter of authenticity which states:

"Here is one of the maps I did way back in the day. I remember making this one for Matt Bailer, my lovely agent, so he could use it to help sell the book.

Those with an eye for detail will notice that this version of the map was still pretty early. The south west corner in particular is much different than the final version that ended up in the book. Some of the borders also changed between countries, most notably southern Atur, and the small kingdoms.

Also lacking is the tinker. All good maps should have a tinker, but I had to forego that, as I don't have any artisitic talent"
