Sometimes don't you just wish you had the opportunity to buy a  first edition first printing of an Agatha Christie book?

Doodled Books is thrilled that new author Dolores Gordon-Smith has exclusively created a special doodled limited edition of her novel Mad About the Boy?.

Dolores is following in the footsteps of Catriona McPherson at Constable and Robinson who has just signed a £XXXXXXXX contract with Hodder and Stoughton. We think it's only a matter of time before a major publisher takes the series on.

This is Dolores second book in the Jack Haldean Murder Mystery Series - approximately 1200 books make up the first print run.

The book has just been published so to get an exclusive book before they sell out order one today!!!

There are 5 different varients of doodle (see the pictures for the doodle on offer):

  • A vintage car (numbered 1-10)
  • A dancing couple (numbered 11-20)
  • A hammer & sickle (numbered 21-30)
  • A fan (numbered 31-40)
  • A glass or bottle of bubbly (numbered 41-50)

The books are also double signed by the author and cover artist Ken Leeder. The varients are in sets of 10 books.

About the book

It's the height of summer 1923 and Isabelle's parents are celebrating their Silver Wedding with a ball at their country house, Hesperus, in Sussex. Isabelle has a problem: two men, the glamorous, earnest Malcolm and the quiet, troubled Arthur are in love with her, but worry is soon replaced by tragedy. One of the guests apparently commits suicide at the ball. Jack Haldean, the hero of "A Fete Worse Than Death", thinks it's murder, but everything is thrown into chaos when a group of Russian Revolutionaries become involved in the affair. In a case involving deception, greed, jealousy, kidnap, torture and more murder, Jack faces an agonizing choice on his journey to the truth - a journey which will change Isabelle's life forever.
